NEW FAMILY MUSIC SPINS AT RADIO STATIONS, ONLINE, AND AT STORES

Metuchen, NJ — April 17th, 2007-- The Kids at Our House are proud to present Listen UP!, a new CD featuring songs by children's author & musician Danny Adlerman. The CD features the guitar talents of Jim Babjak, lead guitarist for The Smithereens, who also sings & co-wrote several compositions with Adlerman; Kevin Kammeraad, who contributed vocals and provided artwork, and Kurt Reil of The Grip Weeds who sings, plays several instruments, and co-wrote a track with Danny.

The entire album was recorded and produced at Reil's House of Vibes in Highland Park, NJ.

Of the CD, Adlerman says, “This is very exciting for me in that it has taken several years and a tremendous amount of energy.  When people listen to it though, they will feel it was well
worth the effort.”

Bearing the tag line, "Real music for real kids", Listen UP! draws from many musical genres and influences.  "We've drawn from Buddy Holly, island beats, The Beatles, blues...you won't find one song that sound like another on this collection.  I'm pleased to have made an album this diverse, but also proud that it all flows so smoothly," says Adlerman.

Although an official release date of May 15th is set, there are select outlets including CDBaby.com and The Ractoneur Bookshop in Metuchen where Listen UP! can be found; radio stations featuring advance airplay include Valley Free Radio (WXOJ-LP  103.3 FM  Northampton, Massachusetts) on their Saturday Morning show Spare the Rock, Spoil the Child (www.sparetherock.com), and Gooney Bird Kids, a live-365 internet station (www.live365.com/stations/gooneybirdkids)

In addition, tracks are available at select digital outlets inlcuding iTunes; the field of airplay, outlets, and digital downloads will expand in earnest as of May.

CHILDREN'S ARTIST INCORPORATES INSPIRATION AND PROCESS IN NEW EXHIBITION

Metuchen, NJ — September 30, 2006--Metuchen ArtWorks is proud to present Art in the Round, a new exhibition featuring works by illustrator Kimberly Adlerman. The installation promises to be fun and provocative, and is suitable for all ages. In addition to marking the official debut of the artwork for Adlerman’s newest title, Oh No, Domino! the exhibit will feature the process of the book’s illustration, from vision to sketches and dummys to final rendered artwork and beyond.

Of the exhibit, Adlerman says, “This is very exciting for me in that it is extremely rare for an artist to show finished work publicly prior to the publication of a book.  As I poured more and more of my energy into Domino, though, I realized that this idea would allow me to do something different, as well as provide a glimpse into the world of picture books.  I’m very proud to show off this new body of work and can’t think of a better time or place to do it.”

The exhibit will be on display from October 11th - 29th, with an artist’s reception taking place at the gallery Saturday, October 14th, from 7:00 - 10:00 PM.  Admission is free.  Previews begin on the 4th.

In addition, events during the month include an Open Mic evening October 21st at 8:00 PM, a Family Night October 27th from 7-9 PM, and a Comedy Night October 28th at 8:30 PM; events are sponsored in part by Provident Bank and the Metuchen Cultural Arts Commission.  15 Station Place, Metuchen, NJ.
